When specialists from different branches hold intense interdisciplinary dialogs on a common research topic, these meetings inevitably lead the group to interesting processes of production and development of ideas, modification and amendment of views, learning and enrichment of concepts. In the book we have the pleasure of presenting, the reader will find the results of intellectual dialogs of this nature, aimed at studying various aspects of the concept of evolution. In many different symposia, conferences, research visits and ad hoc meetings, researchers from different but complementary disciplines -as philosophy, biology, psychology, anthropology, medicine, linguistics, archeology, history and physics-, presented results of their research on various angles of the theories that have been developed stemming, two hundred years ago, from jean Baptiste Lamarck´s investigations and writings.
