The high damping force of oil damper vibration control systems in buildings offers relative safety during earthquakes and at a low environmental cost. Atsuki Yokoyama works in the Research and Development Department of Sanwa Tekki Corporation and has a PhD in Engineering from Tokyo University of Science.
