Robinson Jr. Peter Cruise is a quiet Scot who lives in Edinburgh with his whole family: his beautiful wife and two children. One evening, before dinner, stuck in the elevator, he is unable to witness the invasion of Earth by a strange alien race. Since he manages to get out of that uncomfortable position and makes his way through the rubble, a long ordeal will begin for him in search of his family and a reason to live in a horribly transformed world to host his new masters.
