A Rev Polk Mystery Investigative reporter Revere Polk of the Daily Telegraph is stunned when Pennsylvania Governor Casey Lawrence, a liberal Democrat, suddenly reverses course and decides to back the privatization of the state lottery, a proposal of the far right. When a colleague is murdered while investigating whether the governor is being blackmailed, Polk picks up the gauntlet. Catastrophes pile up like a chain-reaction accident on Interstate 95.
